The Story Thus Far
I have experienced only once so far riding with a partner and will get the rest of the riding crew to join me in the training stint. Most of them are doing their own personal training (i hope so) and because they are not based in Malacca, we hardly get a chance to train together. Unfortunately, I already had a few volunteers who pulled out due to injury etc etc. Hopefully by June, I will still get other volunteers but no matter what the circumstances are, the show must go on.
Well, I have changed my training strategies and started my journey 2 hours earlier at 6 AM instead of 8 or 9 AM (after the rush hour). My trishaw is well lit so it’s rather safe on the road. The weather is cooler in the morning and the beautiful part is witnessing the sunrise. As we all know, in the afternoon can be damn hot and so I can end my training and come home as least 2 hours earlier.
The local edition newspapers have published about the trishaw man and so I am getting encouraging support from road users from the highways and byways. They will usually sound their horn or give me a thumb up. I bet before much publicity then road users must be saying who and what was this crazy trishaw man doing on the highway. Ha Ha! Anyway, there are people who call me crazy man, stillllllllll !!!
Keep it up! Well Done!
