We started our journey at 4 in the morning. The first part of the journey along the Jerai Mountain was very hilly and we have to come down and push most of the time. I think we may have missed out the beautiful scenery along this stretch because along the way on the left hand side was the mountain and on our right was the coastal shoreline. It was too dark for us to see anything.

We could hear thunder but luckily it didn’t rain. About an hour later we hit the flat land and back to the smooth and easy ride. We had our breakfast at around 7.30 A.M.

We covered around 80 KM on this stretch of our journey and by 10 AM we were already in Butterworth.

Ricky met us at the hotel and took us out for lunch. Peter Hee and Wei Peng left for Malacca by coach after the meal. Wei Peng has decided to leave us and join Peter Hee because he has some urgent matter that attend to. Well, Wei Peng has joined me in this journey since Day 1 and as much as I wish he could join me in the final lap of the journey into George Town, Penang but the last lap was only a short journey by ferry. Thanks to him, the whole journey has been made so much easier for me and just imagine that I’ll have to carry all my personal belongings with me too, onto the trishaw? Wow!
