The Kampung Kling Mosque was built in 1748 which makes it one of the oldest mosques in the country. It was believed that the mosque was built on the same place where Indian traders prayed when they first arrived in Malaysia. The structure of the mosque is unique – instead of using the traditional dome, Kampung Kling Mosque features a Sumatran type of architecture.
